About Tip Top Lofts - 637 Lakeshore Blvd. West, City of Toronto
Completed in 1929, The Tip Top Lofts is easily one of the most recognized landmarks in the city of Toronto. Originally home to a well-known Toronto based clothing retailer, the Art Deco building stands unencumbered next to a large green space on Toronto’s waterfront in the Fort York neighbourhood with its trademark red neon sign perched above the added glass and steel clad floors. This mixed hard and soft loft conversion was completed in 2005 and is home to 256 spread over 11 stories (5 original, 6 additional) ranging in size from 600 to nearly 2600 square feet. Generally, the penthouse units are bi-level while the others are single floor layouts.
Art Deco clad landing that is sure to impress first time visitors. Tip Top Loft amenities include a gym and exercise room, sauna, party room, outdoor terrace and a 24-hour concierge. .
Tip Top Lofts is only a few minutes walk to Ontario Place, the CNE and the boardwalk along Lake Ontario. This is attractive from a recreational standpoint, although living south of the Gardiner can leave you feeling a little cut off from the rest of the city, especially during rush hour traffic. We think it’s a small price to pay for the privilege of living in one of the most recognizable buildings in the city!
What To Love: Tip Top Lofts is one of the most iconic buildings – residential or otherwise – in Toronto. Home to professional athletes and celebrities as well as normal folks, Tip Top has some incredible spaces, with some of the tallest ceiling heights anywhere. Cyclists and runners will love being beside the Martin Goodman waterfront trail.
